Students and Recent Graduates

Pathways internships are paid positions for students enrolled at least half time, and they can convert to a permanent job on completion. Recent Graduate appointments are one-year developmental positions open to people who finished a qualifying programme within the last two years, extended to six years for veterans whose service prevented them applying sooner.

Both are competitive: they are advertised on USAJOBS like any other position and closed when enough applications arrive, which is sometimes within days.

Apply early in the window rather than near the deadline, and set up a saved search so an announcement does not close before you see it.
